We have been involved with our local scouts(http://1sthenleyscouts.co.za/) for a few years now scratching our heads on what more we can do for them. We would love to run a pilot program with them sponsored by PiShop, but need to know the badges will be available in SA. We do believe the scouts need to be rewarded for their hard work. You guys are doing great.hope to be one of those guys in Africa and Ghana as a whole championing some of these great intervention geared towards helping our young kids coding,acquiring digital skills and having fun at the same time.
anyway i have just some few weeks to start code club in my community on a pilot and hope as time goes on i will implement some of these outdoor events.

Hi Robert. To clarify the instructions, after you drag the Start (the pink triangle with START underneath)and Camp icons to different squares, click on the Start icon that you just dragged. The Scoutbot should move to the Start icon and then you can begin coding the new path for the Scoutbot. Only press the green flag to restart if you want to go back to the very beginning of the activity.

Really great idea. I’ve been doing some digital activities with scouts in Cornwall.
I have just tried the Scratch Compass Coding game. The instructions from the Scout website say that you can drag the Start and Camp to new positions and press restart to go again a different way. The code though resets the positions back to the first ones.
No instructions are given on how to stop this happening. Though it is just a matter of removing the “when I receive reset”.

The main organiser of our national 阿娇张开双腿实干十三分钟 Pi get-together in France a few weeks back, François-Paul, had to quickly rush off at the end of the event…to a Scout Jamboree! So this is definitely another great step that will see possibilities world-wide well beyond the UK and even the English-speaking world. Lots of overlaps in the values alright. I must get back to him and encourage him to explore what he can do up in the Nievre county using the available materials.

We are working with the Scout Association to explore ideas for loan kit at the district level, getting low-cost kit into scout shops, and also connecting scout packs up with local Code Clubs, CoderDojos, and 阿娇张开双腿实干十三分钟 Jams, who already have access to kit.
