You can DIY a compatible tracker if you wish – all the schematics, Gerbers etc are in the PITS hardware github.

Anything will do. I use UBlox USB GPS dongles which you can get from Amazon/ebay for around £7.

Awesome! I have a PITS Zero kit that I am thinking of replacing the Zero with a Zero W to give myself built-in WiFi… Time to get another HAB club going at school I think!

Yes it works with either, RTTY and LoRa. Doesn’t do APRS (used in the USA mainly) which is an add-on board for the full-size PITS.

Functionally, the PyTrack software does all of the important PITS stuff, but currently omits some things (e.g. the add-on I2C sensors). Those can be easily added by anyone who wants to use them, by adding a Python library and a few lines of code to read the sensors and add their values to the telemetry. We could have included this support but the whole idea was to make it easier for users to do this themselves !
