My wife is now bored of my new obsession with retroPie after I saw the arcade tables from ModMyPi (Streetfigher II) and CPC (Gauntlet II).

My two PiHut game controllers have been reliving the 1980s. I really want to build an arcade cabinet but I’ve got nowhere to put one. Unless I ditch the piano …

The talks were excellent and I particularly liked Mike Horne’s music box demo. It showed that not all projects have to be perfectly executed to be worth doing. If projects are too perfect it can be bit off-putting for normal people. Mike’s honest mix of ups and downs in his design was inspiration to just get on with stuff.

My 10-year-old son, Harry, and I came for both days, and it was the first Pi event that we’d ever been to. It definitely will not be the last!
Really great to meet all of the Twitter celebs :-)
We managed to book on a few workshops, although they got booked up really quickly! It was brilliant to see so many run by younger people, and so professionally.
I have been tinkering with the PI since it came out, and Harry has never really shown that much interest in it, but PiParty really enthused him :-S
