You can use OctoStudio together with MicroBlocks, which is a blocks programming language for physical player inspired by Scratch, to control microcontrollers, using BLE, which gives a lot of possibilities. We also use it at our CoderDojo.

Ever since I was introduced and trained in Octo Studio by university of Johannesburg coding facilitators, I never looked back. I immediately fell in love with it. Here are the reasons that attracted my attention:
– It’s inclusive and embraces indigenous and African languages.
– It offers a variety of sprites.
– It includes numerous loops.
– The backdrops reflect various cultures.
– You can save your project as a video or document.
– It’s shareable on various platforms.
I like it so much for the children in my community and rural who can not access coding resources because its accessible in play store. I see it as a vehicle to guide our rural learners, more especially girls, toward brighter futures and potential careers.
