What a clever project, and what a great castle.

Years ago I chose Bodiham as the subject of my first serious povray project. I built a ray-traceable model of the castle as best I could.

Now I have to go and visit the real thing :)

That knocks the spots off the modified iPods my folks struggled to use at Waddeston a few months ago. Much more in keeping with the period of the property as well. I think it’s begging for an A+ as well.

What an incredible project! I am a major fan of castles, too. I remember going to a Renaissance Fair with my friends as a teen and that’s what really piqued my interest in castles, knights and ladies.

Wow, that is a cool project. I love it! Small world though. I was working at Bodiam Castle in February of 2008 (when I was an archaeologist) on the wall that retains the moat. It was collapsing in the north west corner. We had to clear the lose material and make a scale plan/elevation drawing of the flagstones that were still intact.
